Avery Sunshine

Avery Sunshine combines R&B, jazz and soul in his signature style. Avery Sunshine has performed on Broadway as well as at various festivals across Europe, as well as the Democratic National Convention. Sunshine's the name of Denise White. Her birthplace is Chester Pennsylvania, where she began her career in music by playing the piano and singing in the church. She attended Spellman College in Atlanta where she began her training in Atlanta's R&B scene. Jennifer Holliday (a Grammy and Tony Award-winning singer) offered her a position as choir conductor for Dreamgirls in Atlanta during the National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine was at the center of attention for all of the country during 4 performances a day during 2008's Democratic National Convention. Sunshine then went on to be requested to sing with President Barack Obama at his inauguration.
